Cold in a cat

Species: cat | Category: medical-surgical | Submitted: 10 May 2009 09:03PM | viewed 54688 times
Q Samantha asks about billy (cat - norwegian forest, M) :

Billy has recently been displaying signs of a human cold, streaming eyes, sounding congested and green mucus when he sneezes. They are in-house cats, so do not mix with other cats. Should I be concerned with these symptoms?

Q Our vet says: Yes, you should be concerned. This could be something like cat flu so if you have other cats they could be at risk too. Obviously, Billy must be fairly uncomfortable and a trip to the vet is needed.
