why does my hamster keep moving his bedding around

Species: hamster | Category: petcare | Submitted: 29 March 2007 10:37PM | viewed 9946 times
Q $M!DG3 asks:

My hamster is about 4 years old and lately has been moving his vegetable parchment bedding out of his house and near his salt block. He has also gotton a little skinnier. Why is this?

Q Our vet says: At 4 years old your hamster is getting elderly and any unusual sign should be taken seriously. The signs you are seeing (especially the weight loss) may indicate that your hamster has a medical problem and you should seek veterinary attention for him.
