Dental Care and Oral Hygiene

Dental Care and Oral Hygiene

It is really important to pay attention to your pet's teeth and gums. Animals cannot brush their teeth so they tend to suffer from poor oral health. We can help them by using products which help to reduce the formation of plaque, tartar and stains on their teeth. Brushing your pet's teeth is ideal, if you can do it....... if not choose something such as Logic Oral Hygeine Gel or Logic Orozyme Chews which will help to control bacteria in the mouth and reduce dental plaque.

CET Oral Hygiene Kit Dog

Brushing your dog's teeth is easiest if you can introduce it from early puppyhood. Start off by gently lifting the lips at the side of the mouth and letting your dog taste the pleasant poultry flavoured toothpaste. Gradually you will be able to gently rub the teeth with the finger brush and then progress to the bristle brush. Do not worry about opening the mouth; it is mainly the outer (buccal) surfaces of the teeth which need cleaning. Gradually increase the number of teeth you clean at one time, but do keep the sessions short at first. It takes several weeks to get to the stage where you can clean the teeth properly but it will be worth the effort.
